My boy.

My son will be 6 years old on Thursday. All I can seem to do it tear up when I think about it. Not just because he is getting older, but because I am thankful. Thankful I have had 6 wonderful years with him so far. Thankful that he is so beautiful and smart. Thankful for the hugs and kisses and the "Mommy, I love you". I just hope that I am always here to look out for him and protect him and love him. My anxiety about these things keep me up at night. But I wouldn't change ANYTHING, not for the whole entire world.

Egh.

Sorry I haven't updated lately. Nothing really to update about. But here for the moment, while I think of something or find something to do a real update about.. Those of you who haven't seen it yet, feel free to laugh at my stupidity:



I went to the beach (North Topsail Beach / Atlantic Ocean) on Saturday. B was with his grandparents for the day/night and I decided to go for a walk. Well I stood around talking on the phone for a couple hours. I know, I know.. Who the hell goes to the beach and talks on the phone for 2 hours? Ha ha But anyways. And after getting off the phone I went for a very long walk up and down the beach. As you can see I didn't bring my sunblock out that day. Tsk Tsk. But at least I will get a nice tan out of it?

New York {recap}

OK well I have been saying I was going to do a run down of my trip to New York for a bit now. So here it is, don't plan on anything too exciting! Ha ha I somehow only managed to take 5 pictures the whole week I was gone. And they were of B, B with my nephew, step-fathers dog bailey, one of my niece's. I pretty much failed on that part. Eep. By the way, that is my nephew and B in the pic. They were playing XBOX360, HALO I believe.

Anyways.. We didn't do a whole bunch while we were up there. This was fine with me. We did the whole Easter dinner thing with my family that first Sunday. And then the whole week all the kids were on spring break so they were over at my parent's house, where we stayed. So B got to hang out with the kids all week and he loved it! We went to both my sisters houses to spend some time with them. It was all pretty laid back, which as I said was perfectly fine with me.

We played some XBOX and some wii. I finished reading one of my books and my brother in law let me borrow 5 new zombie books that he had gotten and finished reading. So I am still trying to finish up my 3rd one, of the ones I bought, so that I can start reading the 5 that he let me borrow. I got my butt kicked on Mario Kart and kicked butt in Battlefront 2. Ha ha So it pretty much evened out. One night we sat up watching the original Dawn of the Dead and having some real good laughs and just how damn cheesy that movie is. Love it!

And as always, I hated to leave. But hopefully we will be back up soon to see everyone! My baby niece Erin will be walking before I get to get up there again. *sad face* So someone better take lots of video for me, even if it is just on their cell! *hint hint*

PS; Yesterday I went with B and his class to the Pine Knoll Shore Aquarium. I have a few pics of that I should be posting soon. I don't have too many, maybe like 30, because my battery died half way through the trip. Argh. Must learn to carry extra with me.

Amorphis {again & again}

I cannot express in words how much I love this band. I was always that person that could never tell you who their favorite band was, because I love music so much, that I could never choose just one band. Well you can throw that out of the window now, I can say without any doubt that Amorphis is my favorite band. Yes sir. And if you don't get it, that is fine, not everyone likes the same things.. I am just super excited for the new CD Skyforger. Yarp.

B and I are back from New York. I am completely exhausted. We had a great time but I will update on that all later. Just wanted to update this thing a little bit. So I am going to finish reading my blog roll and go to bed me thinks!

Procrastinate much?

I swear I am one of the biggest procrastinators. I told myself all day that I was going to have everything that I could have packed, that I wouldn't need tomorrow or Saturday, packed today. Nope. I have all my laundry done and clothes folded but nothing put into any bag or suitcase, at all. Argh. I did manage to polish my toe nails though (color flirt, #38, bottom right corner). The color is really a deep purple red wine like color, no clue why the color sample on the site makes it look brownish. Not sure what I am up to tomorrow. Might be a little late getting to bed even though we will have to be up like 6AMish on Saturday. Tomorrow is R's moms birthday and she mentioned her and I doing something together. So no clue yet. I always do this crap. *headdesk*

This shirt was a Christmas gift from a friend. Very appropriate right? I think so. I am rather fond of it. This pic makes me laugh so much. You can just look at it and tell what horrible posture I have. I am almost 28 and my mother still tells me to stand up straight when she sees me. I have my reasons for why I don't but this isn't therapy hour, so that is another story for another time. And it was taken with my cell that is why the quality is so craptastic.

Travel & Ramen.

I have been trying to make my list of things I need to pack for New York. B and I are going up for a week (starting the 11Th, returning the 18th) for his spring break. It should be interesting. It doesn't help that my sinuses are being bastards lately and I have a headache all of the darn time. I know I will end up waiting until the last minute to pack everything, like I always do. And after I leave I will have that feeling that I forgot half of the stuff I had wanted to bring. Go me!

I am going to try this thing out. I am going to try and take a picture of something random throughout my day/life and post at least one in every blog from here on out. Not really a 365 thing, unless I end up posting every day. Which I am not sure what I will do if I have more than one post in a day or whatever. I guess I will figure that out when/if it happens. So anyways..



That is Nong Shim, Hot & Spicy. I got that one from Walmart. It is amazingly good, but insanely spicy! But I really like it. I also found the Spicy Shrimp flavor at my local grocery store and will try that someday soon here. I really prefer it over your regular cup o noodle type Ramen because it has bits of "seafood" in it and it is just really good and flavorful and filling! So if you like Ramen (or Ramyon as they call it in Korea), try this out! If you click the pic it will take you to the Nong Shim website (American).

So I said I had some pics of Jam Pain Society (website auto plays songs). Above is one of them obviously. That would be Chris their amazingly talented guitar player. R took most of these because he ninja'd the camera away from me after like 30 seconds into the first song. Ha ha But yeah, we know we aren't photographers, we aren't claiming that. We were just having some fun seeing these guys who we adore and haven't seen in a couple of years. So enjoy! And do check these guys out and if you like their stuff, buy the cd Black Light Messiah. Amazon also has the CD in MP3 format! Even if these guys/gal aren't your "cup of tea", you have to admit that they are all extremely talented!

Oh My.

Well I fixed it, the layout that is. And it was such a simple thing to do.. I just at the last minute said, "Hey instead of trying to copy and paste the template codes from my test blog, why not just download the template and upload it in the real blog". Well I did that and it fixed everything, which is awesome, but really doesn't make much sense. But whatever, I am not complaining at all!

Also I was able to buy and download the new Amorphis single, Silver Bride, from their record labels show. I guess every month they put together a set of 4 or 5 songs that they let you buy for .99 euro! So yeah, pretty stoked about that!

Hmm.

I am still really aggrevated about this layout. I even sent "them" meaning blogger a message about wtf is up with it.. Still haven't heard back and it's been hours. I hope that is only because it is Sunday.

Yesterday R and I went up to Raleigh to stay with his brother and his brothers girlfriend. We went out to their bar to see a few friends of ours band play. They are called Jam Pain Society, I think everyone should check them out. I know they are one of those love them or hate them kind of bands. But they put on such an amazing live show. I didn't "get them" when I first heard them, until I saw them live. That was 7 years ago and I have never regretted it. Great band with a great sound, so yeah, check em' out.

I have some pics from the show but I won't be getting around to taking off the camera and posting them up until probably tomorrow some time. Tomorrow is Monday so that means grocery shopping and then Carolina/UNC/Tarheels are playing Michigan St. in the finals, so we are going to go over to R's parents house to watch the game with his dad! That is a great man right there I tell ya, words could never describe how much respect I have for that man. Anyways, hopefully I will get this layout crap situated and will have some pics to post up tomorrow. Hopefully!

PS; Even when I spell check it says it fixes the word but when I hit update and then go to look at the post, the word is still spelled wrong. Argh!

Cry.

I swear I am going to cry. No not really but still. I worked and worked on a ok layout for this damn thing just something plain until I could work that other one out the way I wanted it. So here is this layout, yet for some reason, it still has some of the old layouts things in it. I don't get it. I clear everything out. I changed all the fonts and colors. I am getting so frustrated. Unless it is just something up with the blogger servers at the moment. I have no idea. I just want anyone who sees this to know that this is not how it is supposed to look entirely. Like the blog name/title.. That is supposed to be white and in the center, yet the old left/pink one is still there. Blah. Anyways, guess I will just go to bed and see what it looks like in the morning.

This blog is basically a way for me to keep up with friends and family. As well as have a place to vent every once in a while. Hey, everyone needs to at some point!

My name is Wanda and I am 28 years old. I have a 6 year old son who you can call B, this is how I refer to him in this blog! I am a Pharmacy Tech for Walgreen's and so far I rather enjoy it! I love all things zombie related! That means movies, books, video games, pictures, etc.. I love my xbox 360 and will read just about anything you put in my hands. I am also in love with this band called Amorphis. If you don't know, they are from Finland. They are amazing! Check em' out if you get a chance.

From time to time you may or may not see me mention my ex. We were married for almost 7 years and we have our son together. We are no longer together but we are still friends and very commited to giving our son the best life he can have. I do have a fella. His name is Jay and you may see him mentioned here a time or 2 as well.
